Solident

For over 30 years, Solident has been manufacturing chairs for dental clinics in the Nordics and the Netherlands. High quality defines their brand, and the collaboration with Lindevalls contributes to their success, as both padding and upholstery come from the Östersund-based company.

Solident, based in Vilhelmina, began its operations in the late 1980s, initially handling all manufacturing, including chair upholstery, in-house. As demand grew, they no longer had the capacity to produce the upholstery themselves, and Hamrånge Inrednings AB became their supplier.

High quality is a cornerstone for Solident, something their customers are willing to pay for. All chairs are made from recyclable steel and aluminum, making them almost indestructible. Lindevalls provides expertise in selecting padding and upholstery materials.

Expert on the Right Materials

Vibrant and Robust Durability

Solident exports the majority of its products to the Dutch dental care market, and due to the high quality and robust construction, Solident has also become a supplier to the Dutch military. Both markets demand flexible designs, and Lindevalls’ short lead times significantly contribute to customer satisfaction.

“We keep a stock of unupholstered chairs, and when an order comes in, we need the upholstery delivered quickly. We place a call-off order with Lindevalls, where the upholstery is kept in stock, and then order by color depending on the customer’s desired finish,” says Ola Eriksson.

And then there’s the matter of color. Can a dental chair be in any color? It has actually become one of Solident’s trademarks to deliver dental chairs in the color the customer desires.

“Initially, we offered five different colors, but today we can deliver upholstery in 87 different shades! This flexibility and quick turnaround are thanks to Lindevalls’ adaptability and short lead times.”
