Easyrig

It was during the 1993 Handball World Championship that cinematographer Johan Hellsten felt that the pain in his back and shoulders was threatening his career. This led to the creation of Easyrig—a camera support system that distributes the camera’s weight across the entire upper body. Today, Easyrig sells its products in over 50 countries, and Lindevalls ensures the delivery of harnesses for two of their best-selling models.

Sold Worldwide

When Easyrig was launched, it quickly became a valued tool for cinematographers worldwide. For Johan Hellsten, it meant he could extend his career by 20 years, and today, he can promise his customers at least another 10 active years.

The high demand for Easyrig’s products requires a supplier with substantial capacity and high flexibility. After ten years, Lindevalls remains a reliable partner for Easyrig.

“Lindevalls has the capacity to handle large orders from us, which is why we manufacture harnesses for our best-sellers there. At the same time, Lindevalls is flexible, and their short lead times allow us to make quick adjustments to both design and order volumes,” says Johan Hellsten, CEO of Easyrig.

Delivery Reliability and Responsiveness

When Easyrig began collaborating with Lindevalls, they needed a harness for a new product. Lindevalls quickly provided design proposals and started production. Johan mentions that Lindevalls is a reliable partner, which is essential for Easyrig’s expansion.

“They are exemplary in terms of communication—responsive to our new ideas and always delivering on time,” says Johan Hellsten.

Sustainable Deliveries

For Easyrig, keeping production in Sweden is a given, both to maintain local jobs and to offer sustainable products.

The short transport distance between Östersund and Umeå allows Lindevalls to continuously ship orders in smaller volumes while also returning and reusing Easyrig’s cartons and pallets.

“Lindevalls’ location in Östersund is strategically beneficial, as the short distance helps reduce carbon emissions. It also allows us to place orders in small batches, eliminating the need for us to maintain a large inventory,” says Johan Hellsten.
